Kudos to Keith Mazo & Oliver Maciejczk!

Oliver & KeithYesterday at 21:30 Kieth Mazo called and said that there was a medical emergency in progress at the station, and an elderly male in his 80’s was not responding to CPR and had no pulse. Kieth said that he spoke to the man earlier, and the man had said he was travelling to Calgary on the Greyhound. The man sat on a bench and started drooling, and acting strange. At that time Kieth and Oliver went to check on him and they called 911. They checked his pulse and found that it had stopped, and were directed by the 911 dispatch to place him on the ground and start chest compressions.

They continued with CPR until the paramedics arrived and took over. The man still had no pulse when Kieth called to report the incident to the office. 15 minutes later, Oliver called and said that the man now had a pulse, but the paramedics were breathing for him. At 21:45 Oliver called and said the paramedic were now off site and taking the man to VGH. The man was breathing and paramedics confirmed that it had been a heart attack.

WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU TWO! YOU HAVE SAVED LIFE!
