In a recent newspaper article, our VP, Ashley Meehan, was quoted discussing our Genesis support for a proposed Community Safety Pilot Program: The Province Article The proposed Community Safety Program is very similar to our current Community Patrol Program! The purpose is to hire peace officers to look after smaller offenses, allowing our local VPD to concentrate on the serious, larger crimes. We currently provide free Community Patrols 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
