Basic Security Training | BST

Do you want to become a licensed Security Guard? The BST certification provides you with the training and knowledge required to obtain your Security License. In order to earn your BST certification you must complete the four day course and pass the exam with 60%. A benefit of receiving your training through the Genesis Security Training Academy is that we can organize for your fingerprinting to be completed during the four day training. Fingerprinting is required in order to receive your license.

It is important to understand in order to apply for your license you require your BST certification, a criminal record check, and government issued identification. Genesis Security provides you with the training needed to obtain the BST certification and the knowledge required to apply for the license. After completing the course the Justice Institute requires you to write the exam to receive your certification. Licensing is done through the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.  Advanced Security Training Course | AST

After obtaining your BST Certification and security license, the next step to enhancing your career is the AST Certification. The AST Certification will provide you with the skills you need to safely and effectively control a variety of situations. Many individuals who acquire the AST Certification from Genesis Security Training Academy obtain positions in Government, Loss Prevention and Special Events. In order to receive the AST certification you must complete a three day course and pass the exam with 75%.

After completing the AST course, you will have an understanding of:

  • Application of Restraints
  • Excited Delirium & Positional Asphyxia
